Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls

Today we get to explore the new NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls! I don’t believe my idea of a “perfect Bible” exists. If it had all of my favorite features, it would be WAY too big and heavy for everyday use. Things like maps and definitions, cross-references and mid text explanations and footnotes, wide margins, color-coded, places to draw and take notes, etc. which is why I’m okay with having several Bibles, and taking advantage of Bible apps. I’ve been brave enough to write in my Bible for about 20 years now, but I haven’t had one actually … Read More

A Cross to Kill: Integrating Faith and Work

Happy Thanksgiving!! Of the many things I am thankful for, one is the opportunity to read amazing books, and A Cross to Kill did NOT disappoint. It’s a memorable and exciting book, and totally hilarious! A Cross to Kill challenged me, made me shake my head a few times, and had me laughing out loud more than once. It takes a really good author to manage all that and leave you counting down the days until the sequel comes out. Andrew Huff managed this very well! I’m excited to share the Read with Audra Book tour for A Cross to … Read More

How to Set Goals with God’s Grace and Favor

ArynFamily, Christian Nonfiction14 Comments

Okay, so this is a little hard to write. I’ve been ‘in church’ since well before I was born. But in over 30 years, I was still childlike in understanding God’s grace and favor. I’ve had the Sunday School answer, a simple, childish acceptance, which is great, but we’re called to a combination of childlike faith and spiritual maturity. (Matthew 18:2-4, Ephesians 4:11-16, Hebrews 6) I didn’t know what I didn’t know. But now I’m excited. Every time I do learn the Biblical or historical meaning of a word, I find my Bible reading time so much richer. It’s something … Read More

Fun Light hearted books full of adventure

Well, Today’s #ChristianBooktober 28th already, and I’m not quite sure where the month went! I couldn’t put Aiming for Love down. It might have something to do with walking a baby who wouldn’t sleep, and I can still navigate the house while reading on my kindle. But I doubt it. I think it was the storyline. It was very compelling! Brides of Hope Mountain is a unique historical romantic comedy trilogy of funny light hearted books. I’ve now gotten to read both 1-2, and am eager for book 3 to come out. We have one of those fun combinations today. … Read More

For #ChristianBooktober 25th, let’s learn some strategies to Overcome Depression. These strategies come from science and scripture. This book is on tour with Celebrate Lit. I’ve not read it, but I know it’s an important subject, and I am happy to spotlight it here. Overcome Depression sounds like a practical guide that points to scripture, and the Savior, and would be extremely helpful! I’m very curious about the author being a Certified Laughter Leader. After my experiences with laughter, I went digging into exactly what does the Bible say about Laughter, and have shared my findings (and my story). About … Read More
