Welcome to the guest post guidelines for Aryn the Libraryan, a Christian Book Blog.
As one who has been impacted by countless Christian books, both fiction and nonfiction, I know the power of the written word. When a great Christian book is shared between friends, it gets even better.
We welcome guest posts by Christian authors, fellow Christian book bloggers, or anyone whose life has been impacted by a great Christian book.
Please read the below guest post guidelines, and if you’re still interested, use the contact form at the bottom of the page to begin a conversation!
Please note that this post contains affiliate links for your convenience. If you make a purchase through one of the links, I may make a small commission. I only recommend books and resources that I’ve enjoyed personally, or believe that you would like. You can read my full disclosure here. You will also find information on Scripture translations there.
Christian Book Blog: Guest Post Guidelines
I believe that clearly defined expectations reduce misunderstanding and hard feelings. With that in mind, I am happy to consider your guest post, under the following guest post guidelines. We do not pay for guest submissions at this time.
Any Scriptures should be properly noted, and in one of the translations already in use on this site (NIV, HCSB, or NASB).
General Topics Accepted:
To simplify the guest post guidelines, topics I am interested in are anything related to Christian books (fiction and nonfiction) for kids, teens or adults in the areas of:
- Family Life
- Health and Fitness
This can include Author Q&A, a “Behind the Scenes” look at a book you’ve written, or how a book (or genre) has impacted your life.
Any photos you submit (book covers, you with a book, etc), you are guaranteeing that you have the rights to use, and permission of anyone in the picture.
I will create all graphics for the post, in Pinterest, Facebook/Twitter, Instagram sizes
Once we’ve come to an agreement on a post, you can submit your content via a Google or Word Doc, or in the body of an email.
Suggested revisions: please don’t be offended if we suggest changes during the editing process.
Acceptable length of post: Approximately 500-1500 words
Links: 1-2 relevant links to your site allowed. No affiliate links in the post.
Original (not to be reposted ) material, unique to this occasion please. Clean content!
SEO/keyword phrases used: I’ve found the Keyword Surfer free plugin excellent for finding keyword phrases that are actually searched, and related keywords to boost your search engine findability.
The use of subheadings / readable layout is important. I can help with this during editing.
If you are unfamiliar with SEO, I would recommend this free SEO Fundamentals course. It’s Christian, solid, and practical!
Your Site: A brief description with link on your site to redirect your followers where to find you today (not the full text of your post, but an introduction of your topic and where to find it) would be great, but not required.
Byline: post fully credited to you as the author, with links (key post on your site, social media links). Your photo is welcome. I ask that you do not reuse this content elsewhere, as that would effect the SEO scores for both of us. Feel free to link to the original post though.
Social Media: On the day your post is scheduled, please post it to all of your social media accounts, and I will do the same.
Comments: Please check in a few times in the first few days to answer any questions and engage with the readers.
If any submitted post does not match these guest post guidelines, or our values, we reserve the right to reject or edit them.
I will determine a publication date suitable to the content and upcoming schedule. If you have a particular date request, I will consider it.
Please contact me here to discuss a post idea, or if you have any questions about these guest post guidelines.
I’m looking forward to working with you!
